SOCIAL AND PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS OF IDEA OF SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS AS PHENOMENON OF CULTURE

Abstract. The article investigates "self-consciousness" as a phenomenon of culture. Self-consciousness becomes conceptualized when it represents itself as an idea considered in all the richness of its particular implications, that is, when under investigation are its communicative and existential components, and not just when it represents itself as a gnoseological subject. In this aspect the idea of "self-consciousness" acquires a heuristic component that manifests itself at the moment when natural sciences and humanities approach, when we abandon technocratic spirit.
