INFLUENCE OF BUDDHISM ON DIARY PROSE OF MEDIEVAL JAPAN: SPECIFICITY OF WORLD-VIEW AND ARTISTIC PECULIARITIES

Abstract. In the article by the material of the analysis of the influence of Buddhism on the diary prose of medieval Japan the author puts a question if Buddhism was apprehended by the representatives of the Japanese medieval society, particularly by court aristocracy in full measure. Having revealed the main themes of certain works of diary prose and on the basis of the analysis of the diaries of the Heian period and the researches of national Japanologists the author comes to the conclusion about the insufficient integrity of Buddhism apprehended by the medieval Japanese society
