EVOLUTION OF JAPAN’S ENERGY POLICY AND RUSSIAN-JAPANESE RELATIONS IN THE SPHERE OF POWER ENGINEERING IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE XX - AT THE BEGINNING OF THE XXI CENTURY

Abstract. The history of Japan’s energy policy after the Second World War can be divided into several key stages determining the trends of its formation and development. Each of these stages has its own specific features representing the policy of the Japanese administration in the sphere of power engineering. In the article the author identifies the basic stages of the post-war development of Japan’s energy policy and diplomacy and analyzes the evolution of Russian-Japanese relations in the sphere of power engineering.
