Abstract. The article aims to analyze the conception "gender mentality", which is insufficiently explored in science. The paper focuses on characterizing the basic features typical of the gender mentality of a human, identifies the structure of this phenomenon. According to the author, the phenomenon of gender mentality integrates the essential and sociocultural structures of a personality. The conception of gender mentality allows identifying both the deeper, poorly reflected components of human consciousness and the recognizable values and stereotypes of a human being as a representative of gender.
