BETWEEN PATRIOTISM AND NATIONALISM: RUSSIAN PHILOSOPHERS ON SPIRITUAL RENOVATION OF RUSSIA

Abstract. The article analyzes the conceptions "patriotism" and "nationalism" by the example of the philosophical and social views of domestic thinkers. The paper shows the influence of their ideas on the spiritual renovation of modern Russia. The author distinguishes between "true" and "false" patriotism, which allows identifying the inherent inconsistency of this conception. The propagation of nationalism within the extreme forms of patriotism is considered as a phenomenon promoting extremism. The paper identifies the role of spiritual renovation for modern Russia and for young people.
