Abstract. The article deals with the artistic embodiment of sports events and parades in the works of the soviet painting of the 1920-30s, which are an integral part of the art of that time. The author focuses on the composition constructions of the pictorial canvases, analyzes the figurative and stylistic features of sports theme development - in the context of the organization and holding of the soviet holidays that were formed under the influence of the new ideology.
