Potapov Mikhail Aleksandrovich

Abstract. The article presents the author’s solution of the problem of understanding the status of the subject in the history of the religious traditions of the world: from monosubjectivizm (ancestor worship, animism) to the conception of polysubjectness shown by the examples of the religious cultures of ancient Egypt, Taoism, early Christianity and Islam. The method of subjectness investigation belongs to Moscow School of Philosophical and Religious Anthropology. Special attention is paid to terminological distinction between the concepts of different cultures used in the paper.
