MEMORY AS PARADOXICAL OBJECT OF PHILOSOPHY

Shevtsov Konstantin Pavlovich
Saint Petersburg State University

Abstract. The article raises a problem of the possibility of the philosophical analysis of memory. Since the idea of the past as an object of recall does not meet the criteria of the austerity of philosophical research, memory can be understood precisely as a paradox of philosophical language defining both the limits of its application and the ability to save the internal austerity of its object field and research methods. The problem of memory in this sense should be put as a question about the significance of the past, about the importance of preserving the forgotten and the return of the lost.
Key words and phrases: память, прошлое, утрата, сохранение, граница настоящего, парадокс, язык философии, memory, the past, loss, preservation, limits of the present, paradox, language of philosophy
