LITERATURE AND SEARCH FOR TRUTH: PHILOSOPHY IN NOVELS OF MARCEL PROUST

Abstract. The article considers the works of the French writer Marcel Proust in terms of their philosophical content. The author relies on such philosophers as Gilles Deleuze and Merab Mamardashvili, and taking into account their researches shows that Proust’s novels are the way of the cognition of truth and himself for him. Analogy between Proust’s ideas and the philosophy of the Danish thinker S?ren Kierkegaard is also drawn. According to the author of the paper his book "Repetition" can give clues to the understanding of the novel "In Search of Lost Time".
