Abstract. The article shows the work of Daghestan power structures on industrial development in the 50s of the XX century; changes in the structure and territorial location of the industrial branches of the multinational region, the range of manufactured products are observed. Much attention is paid to new industrial construction and the technical modernization of the industrial branches and enterprises of the Republic. Difficulties and unsolved problems, positive changes and the results of the build-up of Daghestan industrial potential are noted.
