Abstract. The article touches on the problem of the involvement of Yakutia into the process of the socialist reconstruction of the national economy of the USSR. While working out "The General Plan of the Development and Reconstruction of the National Economy of the USSR for the Period of 1926/27-1940/41" the State Planning Committee (Gosplan) conducted investigations to evaluate the state of the economy of the Yakut Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. Relying on them they identified the basic trends of progress and prospects for the development of the natural resources of the Republic.
