Abstract. In modern society informational-communicational technologies have deciding influence on the change of social structures. The research of such influence may be carried out on various methodological foundations. In the article an attempt is made to reveal the methodological role of social forecasting by D. Bell for the analysis of the modern changes of social structures under the influence of informational factors, including for the analysis of the informational stratification of society.
