THE VIRTUAL OTHER AS A SUBJECT OF VIRTUAL REALITY

Baikov Aleksandr Alekseevich
IIUEPS Academy

Abstract. The article deals with the problem of the possibility of considering the Other as a subject, whose position in generated reality is equivalent to the position of the human in generative reality. The author analyzes and refutes from the perspective of the methodology of modal realism the key arguments against the subjectness of the fictional character: his/her ontological uncertainty, the presence of mutually exclusive properties, and dependence on the author. The conclusion about the impossibility of subjectness evidence is made.
