PROBLEMS OF MONUMENTAL SCULPTURE DEVELOPMENT IN ARCHITECTURAL SPACE OF KRASNOYARSK

Abstract. In the article the experience of creating the monumental works of sculpture in the urban space of Krasnoyarsk is analyzed. The review of Krasnoyarsk sculptural monumentalism allows revealing the overall picture of the development of this field of art. On the basis of the study of the problems the author considers a new aspect, and makes a comparison with Western European modern tendencies in sculptural creativity. The result of the research is a search for new vectors in the development of urban monumental plastic arts forming the decoration of the town not only by traditional but also by the latest design solutions.
