PUBLISHING ACTIVITY OF SIMBIRSK PROVINCIAL SCIENTIFIC ARCHIVAL COMMISSION IN 1895-1900

Abstract. In the article the analysis of the publishing activity of Simbirsk Provincial Scientific Archival Commission is presented. The published works reflect the main directions of the work of the commission: reporting, the introduction into scientific use of archival documents, the study of local history and the publication of the research results, drawing the archaeological map. The author pays special attention to the themes and structure of the published works and to their relevance for modern researchers.
