Abstract. The article is devoted to studying Stravinsky’s septet manuscript from the composer’s archive in Paul Sacher Foundation (Basel, Switzerland). The author describes in detail the available documents, compares the rough copes, drafts and the final version of the autograph score. Analyzing the manuscript sources the researcher focuses on the following issues: preliminary fixation of musical notation, formation peculiarities of the first part of the composition, technique to work with the series, combination of the serial principle and timbre dramaturgy.
