ONTOLOGY OF THE EVENT IN DIGITAL SPACE: TRANSGRESSION OF MASS MEDIA

Abstract. If time and space are filled with faceless, endless, uniform number of events, for the society event series is artificially created, and it is here that mass media come into play. They set the event out of infinite chain giving it the status of a media event. The development of the Internet became the beginning of explosive transgression of mass media. The involvement of a great part of the humanity in the process of creating and translating event series creates new social environment where the theme of the event and its fixation becomes ultimately topical.
