Abstract. On the basis of archival sources and materials of periodicals the article considers the main socio-demographic and professional characteristics of the representatives of the official group of the chairmen of Ordzhonikidze Executive Committee in 1933-1941. The author examines changes in personnel structure of the city managers compared to the period of 1924-1933 and analyzes their causes.
