PECULIARITIES OF FORMATION AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC ADAPTATION OF THE RUSSIAN POPULATION OF DAGESTAN IN THE XVIII - AT THE BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract. The article presents the main stages of the formation and the peculiarities of the socio-economic adaptation of the Russian population of Dagestan in the XVIII - at the beginning of the XX century. The author singles out the districts of the compact residence of the Russian population and the character of its location in the region, the main directions of the economic activity and so on. The formation of the Russian population in multinational Dagestan environment contributed to the strengthening of the economic and cultural relations of the peoples of Dagestan and Russia.
