Abstract. In the article the analysis of the personality and creativity of F. Nietzsche against the background of the cultural and social processes of the XX century is given. Connection between Nietzscheanism and fascism is considered in the context of their common romantic origins. The author shows that both Nietzscheanism and National Socialism are radical versions of German romanticism and traces the general influence of Nietzscheanism on the philosophy of the XX century and its contribution to the destruction of absolutist cultural and philosophical plans. In the paper Nietzschean absolutism is presented as a paradoxical prerequisite for the relativism of the XX century.
