SECRET FIELD POLICE IN THE SYSTEM OF THE GERMAN MILITARY MACHINE (BY THE MATERIALS OF ARCHIVAL CRIMINAL CASES OF BELGOROD DEPARTMENT OF THE USSR STATE SECURITY COMMITTEE)

Abstract. The article is devoted to one of the most confidential Third Reich’s special services - secret field police (GFP). The authors examine the organizational specifics, functions, authorities of this repressive organ. The study is based on the materials of the archival criminal cases of the former military men of the 725th GFP squad that was formed from Soviet citizens, who had voluntary transferred to Nazi Germany side in 1941-1945. During the investigation they identified the peculiarities of this special service agents’ participation in punitive operations against partisans and the anti-fascist underground organization, the extermination of the Jews, recruiting agents.
