ROLE OF MUSICAL CREATIVE WORK IN NEW PROJECTS ON DEVELOPMENT AND PRESERVATION OF THE CHUKCHI’S CULTURE IN THE SAKHA REPUBLIC (YAKUTIA)

Abstract. The article gives a general overview of the modern linguistic state and musical culture of the Chukchi of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). First a brief ethnographic characteristic is presented. The experience of the preservation and revival of the Chukchi language and culture in the institutions of education and culture of the village of Kolymskoe - the place of the compact habitation of the Chukchi of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) - is described. A short analysis of the author’s work on the preservation and development of the language and culture of the ethnic group in this region is conducted.
