MORAL PHILOSOPHY AS A PHENOMENON OF RUSSIAN CULTURE

Cherepova Tat'yana Igorevna
Moscow State University of Technologies and Management named after K. G. Razumovskiy

Abstract. The article deals with the formation and development of the notion "moral philosophy" in the context of Russian philosophical culture. The author substantiates the idea that moral philosophy is different from ethics in traditional Aristotelian sense, as it concerns issues that lie beyond the boundaries of the professional ethos of philosophy. In this respect, moral philosophy is a phenomenon of Russian culture at the same time acting as the most outstanding original feature of Russian philosophy.
