STATE AND RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS IN THE REALITIES OF THE XXI CENTURY: DIALOGUE AND PARTNERSHIP

Abstract. The article reveals the aspects of the interaction of public authorities with interdenominational organizations in the Republic of Dagestan. The analysis of the activities performed by the authorities and religious organizations to keep peace and stability in the region is given, the events held for the liquidation of extremist ideology and strengthening interreligious ties between traditional confessions are considered, and the activity of the Islamic mass media in the republic is elucidated. At present, it is obvious that the progressive development of the society is impossible without constructive dialogue and cooperation between public authorities and the representatives of religious confessions, without the efficient realization of the ideas of tolerance and liberal attitude towards religion.
