PROBLEMS OF STAGE INTERPRETATION OF THE CHARACTER OF FAMUSOV IN THE RUSSIAN THEATRE OF THE 1830S

Maidanova Marina Nikolaevna
Russian Institute of Art History in St. Petersburg

Abstract. In the article the comparative analysis of two interpretations of the character of Famusov ("Woe from Wit" by A. S. Griboyedov) in the Russian theater of the 1830s presented by Petersburg actor I. I. Sosnitskii and Moscow actor M. S. Shchepkin is carried out. The issue about the interrelation of the interpretation with the peculiarities of the stage realization of the structure of the vital-particular type as a version of the structure of specific nature is considered. The idea of ?? the correlation of the interpretation with both the semantic content of the character structure and with the creative nature of the actor and the peculiarities of the actor’s technique is asserted.
