METAMORPHOSES OF SCIENTIFIC THOUGHT ABOUT HENRY LOZ’S CREATIVITY

Abstract. The article presents the analytics of scientific works devoted to the problems of the English composer Henry Loz’s creativity (1595-1662). The author provides a virtual diagram of the scientific thought development starting with the period of the composer’s creative activity to the beginning of the XXI century. The researcher analyzes the main aspects of musicological studies and causes of drastic revaluations of Henry Loz’s creative heritage. The paper presents the modern discography of Loz’s secular solo works. It raises the questions of specificity of the research method of his declamatory songs.
