FUNCTIONS OF RUSSIAN FAIRY TALES: PHILOSOPHICAL-CULTUROLOGICAL ANALYSIS

Abstract. The article carries out a philosophical-culturological analysis of Russian fairy tales. It identifies the main functions of fairy tales, both explicit and implicit. The author emphasizes that fairy tales reflect the traditional archaic worldview, with its own ideas about good and evil, right and wrong. The tale also reflects the mythological way of thinking based on binary oppositions. Through the analysis of the Russian fairy tale the paper identifies the main ethical and moral guidelines that are relevant for future generations.
