Abstract. On the basis of the data (2014-2015) obtained during the field trips of the staff of the research laboratory "New Religious Movements in Modern Russia and European Countries" of Minin Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University the article considers the features of the social portrait of an ordinary participant of the pagan holiday of St. John Baptist’s Day. The questionnaire block "social portrait" contains the following questions: gender, age, level of education, occupation and place of residence.
