Tobolsk Complex Scientific Station of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences
Abstract. In A. A. Dunin-Gorkavich’s personal fund there is a set of documents on scientific expeditions and theoretical studies conducted by the scientist, revealing the results of the study of the north-eastern outskirts of Tobolsk province - Vakhovsk region. The scientist for the first time describes natural geographic conditions, gives the characteristic of the economic activity of the Aborigines, makes a map of the Vakh River and its flows, and identifies settlements, the information about which was not available in official documents.
