Abstract. The article proposes a comparative method of studying the problem of consciousness mythologization. The paper dialectically discusses the issue of changing the mythology status: from an instrument of cognition to a manipulation technology. The philosophical aspect of confusion of the modern human is presented through identifying contradictions in the "personality - time" system. In solution of the problem of overcoming absurd of postmodernity the axiological approach is thought to be acceptable. Importance of understanding unity of the global world and strategic orientations of the individual is highlighted.
