GENERAL EDUCATION OF URAL HEAVY INDUSTRY WORKERS ON A PART-TIME BASIS IN THE 1970S

Abstract. The article examines historical experience of organizing the work to raise general educational level of Ural industry workers. The author analyzes activity of the workers’ associations to develop the material and technical basis of the evening schools, to provide them with necessary educational and methodical literature, visual and other teaching aids. The paper focuses on characterizing material and moral incentives for the young workers to improve their education, promotive measures to involve them into the study and to preserve the student body, to create necessary production and everyday provisions for training.
