ETHICAL PROBLEMS IN L. I. SHESTOV’S WORK "APOTHEOSIS OF GROUNDLESSNESS"

Abstract. The article is devoted to reconstruction of ethical content of the work by the Russian existential philosopher L. I. Shestov. The authors identify atypical for the rest of the works of this thinker non-religious approach to the study of ethical problems. Three groups of fundamental ethical questions raised in this work are singled out: metaphysical and anthropological bases of morality, ideas of virtues and depiction of vices in works of art. A review of secondary ethical issues touched upon in the work is given.
