V. S. SOLOVYOV’S AESTHETIC CONCEPTION AND MODERN ARTISTIC PRACTICE

Abstract. In the article the views of V. S. Solovyov and aesthetic attitudes in theory and practice of modern art are compared. The points of their convergence and divergence are disclosed. The ideas of symbolism, objectivity, harmonizing and transforming function of art, the role of the artist-creator are analyzed as key provisions of V. S. Solovyov’s aesthetic conception. The role of the philosophical and aesthetic conception of V. S. Solovyov as an attempt to overcome the crisis of the European model of culture is noted. Processing creatively Christian aesthetics heritage, V. S. Solovyov reveals possibility and necessity of its adaptation to new sociocultural realia.
