SOPHIA THE WISDOM AND HER ANTAGONISTIC IMAGE IN THE BIBLE AND IN RUSSIAN PHILOSOPHY

Khachatryan Mastegra Vladimirovna
Lomonosov Moscow State University

Submitted: 10.04.2018
Abstract. The article deals with the aspect of sophiological world view, which is not given sufficient attention in Russian philosophy: confrontation of Sophia the Wisdom of God and her antagonist. The author actualizes the problem of the "erroneousness" of the judgments of V. S. Solovyov and S. N. Bulgakov about Sophia as a "fallen world soul" expressed by E. N. Trubetskoy. The comparative analysis of the texts of the Bible and the works of the Russian philosophers is carried out to differentiate the image of Sophia the Wisdom and her antipode - Eve, Adam’s wife, which allows us to discover a new perspective in Russian philosophy.
