DEVELOPMENT OF VISUAL PERCEPTION OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN WITH VISUAL DISORDER BY MEANS OF MATHEMATICS

Abstract. In the article, the development peculiarities of children with visual disorder, which indicate the need for special training of this category of preschool children so that they could master programme material successfully, are identified. The results of researching the visual perception development level of pre-schoolers with visual disorder and the formation level of their mathematical competence are provided. Direct correlation between increase in the level of mathematical competence and the positive dynamics of the visual function development is revealed. The example of organising work with children having visual disorder in the State Budgetary Educational Institution "Multidisciplinary School № 1220, Preschool Kindergarten № 1132 of the North-Eastern Administrative District of Moscow of the Combined Type" is given and the guidelines are formulated.
