STUDENT ASSESSMENT OF TEACHERS IN THE CONTEXT OF RAISING EDUCATION QUALITY

Abstract. The article examines the problem of student assessment of higher school teachers as a means to raise the teachers’ motivation for professional improvement, which certainly helps to raise the quality of higher education. Analysing the results and procedure of a student survey conducted at the Far Eastern State Transport University, the authors consider the problem of choosing optimal criteria to evaluate the quality of teaching. The paper provides recommendations to conduct a student survey and offers a sample questionnaire.
