PHILOSOPHICAL DISCIPLINES IN THE CONTEXT OF FORMING THE FUTURE ENGINEER’S METHODOLOGICAL CULTURE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of forming the modern engineer’s methodological culture, which is a key component of the specialist’s professional culture. The author argues that both at the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree levels, methodological culture should be formed not only by means of special theoretical knowledge but also by means of philosophical knowledge. At the initial stage of higher education, ontological and gnoseological problematics of the general philosophy course helps to lay foundations of the engineer’s methodological culture. At the second level, the philosophical content of the discipline "Methodology of Scientific Research" helps to broaden and deepen the engineer’s methodological training.
