Abstract. The article deals with the problems of interpreting the sociocultural impact of external labour migration on the regional society. Basing on the analysis of the conceptual provisions of the migration networks theory and the synthetic theory by D. Massey, the author has concluded that there is a set of sociocultural channels through which labour migrants’ integration into the host community takes place. The analysis of the results of a mass sociological research in the republics of Southern Siberia allows indicating the presence of the tendency of the growth of migrants’ sociocultural impact on the local population of the regions.
