TEACHERS-SINOLOGISTS OF THE FAR EASTERN UNIVERSITY: THE 1960-1970S

Abstract. The article describes an important period in the history of academic sinology in the Russian Far East celebrating its 120th anniversary in 2019. Relying on a wide range of historical sources, the author describes the basic groups of teachers-sinologists at the Far Eastern State University in the 1960-1970s, emphasizes the succession of the teaching staff, assistance of Leningrad (Saint Petersburg) University in replenishing the teaching staff of the Far Eastern State University with young sinologists. For the first time in the Far Eastern historiography, the author portrays the teachers - native speakers of Chinese, identifies their essential role in the optimization of educational process at the Far Eastern University.
