Abstract. The article deals with the problem of the theoretical and methodological significance of Plato’s and Aristotle’s philosophical systems in relation to the problem of freedom at the level of the emerging mixed reality. While analysing the philosophical systems of Ancient Greece, the author reveals the essence of approaches to the study of freedom and arbitrariness at the theoretical level, and also points to the practical orientation of philosophical knowledge application to social structures study. A special place in the paper is given to the issue of the topicality of relationship between freedom understanding in the emerging mixed objective-virtual reality and the Greek polis.
