PHENOMENON OF VOCAL COACHING IN MODERN MUSICAL EDUCATION

Abstract. The article reveals the content of the notion of vocal coaching, which has become a new phenomenon in the modern musical-educational space. The focus is on examining the role of the coach for students-vocalists given to the accompanist. The author studies the problem of expanding the range of the professional functions of the accompanist, who becomes a coach, analyses the specialist-coach’s necessary skills and competencies. The idea of the integrity of a student’s independent work and the accompanist-coach’s directing, vector role is substantiated.
