THREE REFERENCE POINTS IN THE FORMATION OF ACADEMIC BUTTON ACCORDION ART

Abstract. The article is devoted to three major historical events that influenced the formation of academic button accordion art. Modern musicologists’ view on previously recognized facts of history is revealed. The author focuses on the initial period of academization in the field of playing the accordion and the button accordion. The paper identifies the main achievements of such figures as N. Beloborodov, P. Chulkov, Ya. Orlansky-Titarenko and P. Gvozdev. The peculiarities of the choice and creation of repertoire in the studied period, which contributed to the formation of academic button accordion music, are considered.
