Аннотация. В статье рассматриваются образы Османской империи на страницах шотландского литературно-критического периодического печатного издания "The Edinburgh Review" в период с 1802 по 1821 гг. Автор раскрывает основные причины интереса со стороны обозревателей издания к Османской империи и её жителям. Особое внимание уделено пространственно-климатическим, потестарным образам, а также стереотипам восприятия иностранцами Османской империи и её провинций.
