“SOCIOCULTURAL OBSERVATIONS LOG” AS TOOL OF FUTURE PHILOLOGISTS’ SOCIOCULTURAL COMPETENCE CONTROL AND ASSESSMENT

Abstract.
The formation of full-fledged language personality capable of cultures dialogue is possible if this personality’s sociocultural competence is formed including with the help of the authentic feature film use as a sociocultural information source during co-studying foreign language and culture. The author suggests an alternative approach to the control and assessment of future philologists’ sociocultural competence using “Sociocultural Observations Log”. The structure, content and use aims of this tool of sociocultural competence control and assessment are described.
