FILLING FALLOW LANDS WITH WOODY VEGETATION IN CONDITIONS OF SOUTH AGRICULTURAL ZONE

Abstract.
The introduction of tree and shrub vegetation into the phytocenosis of fallow lands occurs differently depending on the age and afforestation degree of the area. In meadow-steppe zone the filling of the fallow land occurs slowly and with single trees and shrubs. In forest-steppe zone trees form clumps by 15 years of the fallow land development. In forest zone the full colonization of the fallow land with pine undergrowth takes place.
