Abstract.
The article considers methods for analyzing cross-cultural situations with the aim of teaching senior school pupils and students in classes on the German language. The examples of situations are taken from the book “Russland to go” by Vlada Kolosova, which presents the travel notes of the German culture representative during a tour of Russia. The article may be of interest to the teachers of German as well as to students and may enhance their cross-cultural competence.
