Abstract.
The paper examines the main stages of the appearance, formation and development of criminalistic explosive technology as a section of criminalistic technology and a component part of criminalistic arms studies. The author identifies historical events and factors, which from the objective point of view contributed to the formation of criminalistic explosive technology, and emphasizes the fact that the systematization of disconnected techniques, methods, and technical means for solving crimes has formed an independent branch of the criminalistic area of knowledge.
