ON THE ISSUE OF STRUCTURE OF COHERENT TEXT (BY THE EXAMPLE OF D. H. LAWRENCE’S WORK “THINGS”)

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the structure of text, intratextual connections and relations between different parts of text and their overall impact on communication process presented in text. The author examines the significance of such categories of text as sequentialization and compositionality. At the level of compositionality the author considers structurization taking into account the “part - whole” relation, where each of text parts is sequentially included as a component part into the hierarchically more complex structure, namely into the relation “sentence - paragraph - paragraph complex - coherent text”. The author’s particular interest is in the final component of paragraph and/or paragraph complex.
