Abstract.
The article considers the features of structuring the course “History of Music” for students of “Actor’s Art” speciality, and pays special attention to the importance of the discipline in the system of musical education. The analysis of the specificity of this group of students allows making conclusion about the appropriateness of applying variative approach to the course creation. Accordingly the author suggests methodological recommendations for the organization of classroom and self-guided work of students.
