Abstract.
The article reveals the concept of manipulation in philological, political, social-philosophical, psychological aspects, suggests the understanding of manipulation as the manifestation of the border state of a man; gives brief psychological characteristics of manipulators and their victims; shows various models of manipulation in educational process both on the part of a teacher and a student.
